Sunny Leone opens up about the #MeToo movement; says more people speaking up creates awareness

The #MeToo wave which started in the West, took over India in 2018. Several women took to social media to reveal about people who harassed them in the past. The movement also brought into light the names of several Bollywood celebrities. The movement started with Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta accusing Nana Patekar of sexual misconduct on the sets of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss. Gradually, several other women started naming the likes of Vikas Bahl, Sajid Khan, Rajat Kapoor, Alok Nath, and Anu Malik for using their position to exploit women.

Sunny Leone opens up about the #MeToo movement; says more people speaking up creates awareness

Recently, in an interview Sunny Leone was asked about the change that came with the #MeToo movement. She said that she does not work in an office and lives in a bubble but does believe that more women talk about these issues of sexual harassment or (instances of people) making them feel uncomfortable at work, whether it is women or men. She said that even men are harassed and that it is not recognized because people think it is not a big deal.

She said that the more people speak up, the more they make it aware that it is not okay. The actress feels that thing swill change, especially with people getting exposed through social media and other media outlets.

Sunny was glad that a message around the importance of consent was included in web series Ragini MMS Returns Season 2. She has a cameo as a paranormal expert in the ALTBalaji series.

Stranger Things Actress Reportedly Eyed For Young Leia In Star Wars TV Show

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker marks the last time Carrie Fisher will play Leia Organa, due to the late, great actress passing away back in 2017. It would be unthinkable to recast the adult version of the Resistance general, but maybe there’s a future for the iconic character in the Star Wars franchise by diving back into her past and exploring her early years. Whoever Lucasfilm hired to play a young Leia though would have to be the perfect choice to honor Fisher’s one-of-a-kind portrayal.

It’s unsurprising, then, that the studio appears to have listened to the fans on this one and is considering casting someone that folks have been saying should play a teen version of the Princess of Alderaan for years. Sources close to WGTC – the same ones who told us [SPOILERS] would die in The Rise of Skywalker and that [SPOILERS] would be revealed as a traitor in the film – say that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is being eyed for the lead role in a new Star Wars TV show focusing on young Leia.

This project, set to arrive on Disney Plus, was previously reported on by HN Entertainment back in February and has been corroborated by numerous other outlets since, so we definitely know it’s in the works. As far as we’re aware though, this young Leia series is only in early development.

Still, the studio is apparently already looking out for who could star in it. It’s unclear whether Brown is at the top of their list, as there are likely other actress being eyed up, too, but she would certainly make a natural first choice for the part, given all the buzz about the idea of her playing Leia since she rose to fame in the aforementioned Netflix drama. The Eleven star even cosplayed as the heroine for Halloween in 2018.

Of course, some might wonder whether a Leia prequel show is necessary, but there’s a lot of material to mine from in her early years. For one, how did she follow in her adoptive father’s footsteps by working within the Galactic Senate yet also secretly aiding the Rebellion? What’s more, filling out the character’s life on Alderaan would also retroactively add some extra tragedy to the planet’s destruction in A New Hope, as we’d witness her personal connection to the world.

Tell us, though, do you think Millie Bobby Brown is a good choice to bring young Leia to life in a Star Wars TV show? As always, sound off below with your thoughts.

SCOOP: Shah Rukh Khan green lights Rajkumar Hirani’s next, makers looking for 2021 release?

Millions of Shah Rukh Khan fans have been waiting with bated breath for his next film announcement. Speculations around have been rife about his next project which will either be Rajkumar Hirani directorial or Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s next or South director Atlee’s next. The superstar continues to stay mum on his next project ever since the debacle of his last release, Aanand L Rai’s Zero.

SCOOP: Shah Rukh Khan green lights Rajkumar Hirani’s next, makers looking for 2021 release?

But, it seems like the actor has given a go-ahead to Rajkumar Hirani. As per grapevine, “The talks about his project began earlier this year. Shah Rukh Khan has okayed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s next. This seems to be a huge project and sets will be mounted by April or May 2020. Following this, the makers are looking for 2021 release for the film. As of now, the cast and subject of the film is kept under wraps.”

Shah Rukh Khan, on his birthday in November, confirmed that he will announce the project once it goes on the floor. He did say that he will have a release in 2020 itself.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has been meeting up with many directors from the South industry. He has already produced this year’s success Badla which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. He has also produced Netflix series Bard Of Blood starring Emraan Hashmi. He has another two shows coming up – Class Of ’83 and Betaal.

New Crisis On Infinite Earths Promo Teases Oliver Queen’s Return

The very first episode of “Crisis on Infinite Earths” killed off Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen, with the Emerald Archer sacrificing his life in order to save a million extra people from the dying Earth-38. However, this being the DC universe, it’s likely not the end of the Green Arrow. Something that’s heavily teased in this new trailer for Part 4, which arrives on The CW in a few weeks.

The 30-second promo sets up the high-stakes new status quo: with just a handful of heroes still alive in the multiverse, they’re now giving the evil Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) all they’ve got. And, somehow, they’ll be joined by the late Oliver. In one clip, we see him throwing punch after punch at an unknown enemy – this doesn’t seem to be the Anti-Monitor, either – with the voiceover featuring the vigilante saying: “My entire life prepared me for this fight.”

So, how could Ollie be back? Well, Part 3 may have teased the explanation. When Mia, Diggle and Constantine travel to Purgatory to retrieve his soul, Oliver elects to remain behind in the afterlife when Stephen Lobo’s Jim Corrigan appears and tells him that he mustn’t go with them otherwise his death will be for nothing.

As Corrigan hints in this scene, he’s the alter ego of the avenging supernatural hero the Spectre. It’s been theorized that Oliver will become the new host of the Spectre, at least temporarily, to allow him to return for the final episodes of the crossover, as well as the last hours of Arrow season 8. The shot of his green eyes in this trailer may be another hint at this outcome, too.

Crisis on Infinite Earths” returns for its final two episodes – Arrow is Part 4 and Legends of Tomorrow is Part 5 – on Tuesday, January 14th. Don’t miss it.

Netflix Has Reportedly Already Greenlit Season 3 Of The Witcher

Despite having only premiered a week or so ago, Netflix’s adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy series has been making waves. The Witcher has won over fans and critics alike and at the time of this writing, it’s one of the company’s highest-rated originals on IMDb. Not bad, right?

Of course, it’s not hard to see why it’s been doing so well. With Game of Thrones off the air (and at least one of its prequel series reportedly canceled), fantasy fans have been looking for a new show to sink their teeth into. And with a built-in audience of bookworms and video game fans, not to mention the star power of Henry Cavill, it should come as no surprise that The Witcher has seen so much success in its early days.

What is a bit shocking though is just how confident Netflix is with their newest original series. As we previously reported, the company renewed the show for a second season well ahead of premiering the first, and now it looks like another is on the docket. That’s right, it seems The Witcher will be returning for season 3 as well.

Sources close to WGTC – the same ones who said a Green Lantern show was coming to HBO Max and Bill Murray was returning for Ghostbusters: Afterlife – say that Netflix has secretly greenlit a third season and it’ll adapt Time of Contempt, the second full-length novel from Sapkowski’s books. And while the details we’ve been given end there, we’re obviously pretty excited about this.

After all, while Netflix has always produced quality original content, many of its flagship series have bit the dust, especially after their suite of Marvel shows were all canceled. The Witcher also checks the “high fantasy” box, which is a genre that most companies are unwilling to invest resources in. Of course, Netflix has yet to officially announce that a third season is indeed coming, but given that these are the same sources who also told us a Swamp Thing movie was in development, which Bloody Disgusting has since confirmed, we have no reason to doubt it.

Geralt’s Last Wish For [SPOILERS] In The Witcher Explained

So far as world-building is concerned, The Witcher on Netflix has done a pretty good job of introducing viewers to the fantasy world of the Continent. But even then, there were many mysteries that the show didn’t directly answer or address by the end of the first season.

Indeed, there were several elements from the lore that fans needed to understand in order to catch up with the narrative. Also, the three different timelines didn’t help matters, either. From the “Law of Surprise” to the political landscape of the Northern Kingdoms and their squabble with Nilfgaard, it’s easy to get confused or fail to read between the lines and understand the delicacies of the plot.

Namely, one of the biggest enigmas in the first season was the meeting between Geralt and Yennefer, and the White Wolf’s last wish that ended the fifth episode, titled “Bottled Appetites,” on a positive note. While the script fails to give viewers a clear explanation, Geralt’s deed doesn’t remain a mystery in the short story from the first book. So, for those of you who still don’t know what his last wish was, don’t worry, because we’ve got you covered.

“Bottled Appetites” opens with Geralt looking for a djinn to cure his insomnia. When Jaskier angers Geralt and they end up fighting, the djinn is accidentally freed from its bottle prison. The djinn curses Jaskier, which compels Geralt to seek help from the mage Yennefer. The enchantress heals Jaskier but tricks Geralt so that she can dominate the djinn and harness its powers.

While at first it’s assumed that Jaskier is the master of the djinn, Geralt is later revealed to be the one whose wishes are being granted. Eventually, Geralt finds Yennefer, who’s overpowered by the djinn. Yennefer asks Geralt to utter his last wish, and he does so, releasing the djinn and saving the sorceress and himself from certain death.

In the books, Yennefer hears Geralt as he makes his last wish, whereas in the series it remains a secret. The short story never explicitly explains the details of the White Wolf’s last wish, but from the sorceress’ words and another side character’s commentary, we can get a pretty good idea of what it was about.

Here’s a part of The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski where Yennefer recounts Geralt’s last wish:

“Your wish,” she whispered, her lips very near his ear. “I don’t know whether such a wish can ever be fulfilled. I don’t know whether there’s such a Force in nature that could fulfill such a wish. But if there is, then you’ve condemned yourself. Condemned yourself to me.”

The Witcher

Also, in the book, as the battle for control rages on between Yennefer and the djinn, Jaskier watches from outside the tavern next to a priest who suggests that Geralt could find a way to save them both, saying:

“It’s not that simple… But if… If he expressed the right wish… If he somehow tied his fate to the fate… No, I don’t think it would occur to him. And it’s probably better that it doesn’t.”

It’s safe to presume that Geralt’s last wish was to bind Yennefer to his fate, which would save the sorceress as the Witcher is the master of the djinn and can’t be hurt or killed by it. Of course, this is ultimately the reason that the two of them always end up crossing paths, which, if you think about it, makes their love story all the more tragic.

So, there you have it, folks. We may never know the exact words that Geralt uttered, but this is a somewhat clear explanation of what his last wish contained. And who knows, maybe this will be properly addressed in the next season of The Witcher?
